Nicaragua Idealista Yellow Pacamara, Washed: [VERY Low Inventory]
Ben Weiner’s Finca Idealista, in Matagalpa at 1200 meters above sea level, is the flagship farm of Gold Mountain Coffee Growers. It exemplifies changing the world through coffee: using machetes instead of herbicides, mushrooms instead of pesticides, and volcanic filters to clean the wash-water before it enters the watershed.
This first ever nanolot is 100% washed yellow pacamara. It shows flavors of lemon drops, apple, and passion fruit, with a silky body and medium acidity. As it cools, expect the body to become silkier, while flavors of rose, agave, and custard/flan emerge.
.

Nicaragua “Naturally Neighbors”:
This naturally processed coffee is from the Gold Mountain Coffee Growers Member Farmers, a collective of small farms in the Matagalpa and Jinotega regions of Nicaragua, at altitudes of 1300 to 1600 meters. It is a blend of Catuai, Caturra, Bourbon, Pache Colis, and small amounts of Geisha coffee beans. The GMCG notes suggest fruity flavor notes of cherry, mango, and pineapple. We agree with tart cherry and mango, with lighter roasts including hints of green pepper and darker roast featuring unsweetened cocoa.
.

Peru FAIR TRADE ORGANIC (FTO) “Las Damas de San Ignacio,” Washed:
Located in the Cajamarca region of Peru, COOPAFSI (Cooperative Agraria “Frontera San Ignacio” Ltda) empowers and promotes women-grown coffee. This certified Fair Trade Organic coffee features the Catimor and Caturra varietals, grown at elevations of 1500 to 1750 meters, then fully washed and patio dried. With above average acidity, average body, and above average sweetness, it highlights flavors of caramel, milk chocolate, and orange.
.

Tanzania AA, Usawa Kahawa Project, Washed: [Low Inventory]
The goal of Usawa Kahawa Project in Tanzania is to make sure women are involved in farming coffee and bringing it to market. The Hezya AMCOS that produced this lot is made up of nearly 300 smallholders with <1 hectare farms at altitudes ranging from 1590 to 1670 meters above sea level. Their annual production volume is 64 metric tons, and they mainly focus on growing Bourbon, N39, Kent, and other local varieties. This medium body coffee with bright acidity features flavors of apricot, dark chocolate, brown sugar, lemon & lime, and black tea.
.

Decaf Single Origin Coffees

Brazil Minas Gerais Decaf, Swiss Water Process:
The Minas Gerais region in Brazil accounts for nearly half of country’s total coffee production. It alone produces more coffee as a region than any other country in the world. It doesn’t get more quintessentially Brazilian than this, and now it’s available in decaf, too.  With a light body and mild acidity, this Swiss Water Process decaffeinated coffee offers flavor notes of cocoa powder and nuttiness, with a mild citrus acidity and black tea finish.
.

Colombia Valle del Cauca Decaf, Sugarcane:
The Valle del Cauca is a critical swatch of land where natural resources, water management, and friendly environmental practices are keenly preserved by those who live and farm there. Altitudes range from 1700 to 2100 meters above sea level (masl), with this lot coming from about 1750 masl. This decaf, processed with derivatives of sugarcane, shows medium body and bright acidity with flavor notes of chocolate, cane sugar, citrus, and roasted almond.

On The Way

Nicaragua Idealista Yellow Bourbon Varietal Concoction, combination processed:
Another offering from Ben Weiner’s Finca Idealista, in Matagalpa at 1200 meters above sea level. This flagship farm of Gold Mountain Coffee Growers exemplifies changing the world through coffee: using machetes instead of herbicides, mushrooms instead of pesticides, and volcanic filters to clean the wash-water before it enters the watershed.

This unique nanolot of sweet, juicy yellow bourbon varietal coffee is prepared with a combination of honey, natural, and carbonic maceration processes. This yields flavors of rose, papaya, and white currant with a silky body and ____acidity. As it cools, note the appearance of orange peel and blueberry notes. The price includes a tariff fee of approximately $0.63 per pound.
.

Colombia Antioquia, Finca La Candela, Natural: This coffee comes to us from our friends at Paisa Coffee, an importer of fine Colombian coffees. Finca La Candela is situated at 1600 meters above sea level in La Loma Del Guamo village in Titiribí town, Antioquia, Colombia. It is the home of the Lotero Cano Family – third generation coffee farmers.

This lovely lot of natural process coffee is made up of 100% Castillo varietal. It has been dry fermented for 78 hours and sun dried for 25-30 days. In the cup, it brings a prominent juicy blackberry note (and we think papaya), backed by sweet vanilla and a smooth butteriness. It has a creamy medium body and juicy bright acidity..
.

East Java Blue Fire G1 TP, Semi-washed:
Grown on the slopes of Mount Ijen, a volcano in East Java, at 1200 to 1500 meters above sea level, this offering takes its name from the “Blue Fire” phenomenon that is visible only in two places on Earth: Iceland and the Ijen Crater. This semi-washed coffee features light body, bright acidity, and flavor notes of dark chocolate, dried plum, mossiness, black tea, and lime..
.

Mexico Chiapas Highlands, Washed:
The Mexico’s Chiapas region is home to a vibrant network of smallholder farmers. Farms stretch across the Sierra Madre de Chiapas mountains at elevations of 1,200–1,750 meters above sea level, where steady rainfall, fertile volcanic soils, and a dense forest canopy create ideal growing conditions.

This region shares many of the same complex cup qualities with bordering Guatemala Huehuetenango — being chocolate-forward with a balanced sweetness and gentle fruit undertones. The dark chocolate in this heavy body coffee is complemented by flavors of almond, brown sugar, raisin, and green apple combining in a gentle, mild acidity.
